shows for the week

After a long hiatus our weekly shows for the week post is back.  Here they are; dig them.

7/7 - Murphy’s Law @ the Baseball Tavern

7/9 - Fujiya & Miyagi @ the Middle East downstairs

7/12 - Dan Deacon and Big Digits @ the Middle East upstairs

Also, congratulations to You Can Be a Wesley (who we featured in a past post) who won Emergenza Battle of the Bands last Friday at Avalon.  I don’t know exactly what winning entails, but I’m sure it’s better than losing.

And! although it is only early July, September is shaping up to be a monster month for shows.  Animal Collective, Peter, Bjorn & John, Do Make Say Think, Okkervil River, and the show I’m most excited about (by far) The Selmanaires and Black Lips.  I can’t wait.

[Editor’s Note: the Dan Deacon/Big Digits show is not technically this week but I’m pretty pumped for it…so, oh well.]
