First the skin has to be removed. No, wait. First, you fill the feed trough. Next you walk quietly from behind, hug the body tightly as the feed is happily eaten, place the gun to the head and pull the trigger. You use bullets that make smaller holes leaving than entering otherwise you end up with splatter all over the feed yard and unhappy animals. Splatter makes for unhappy crop and a fearful crop is an unhappy or unruly crop. It is rather important that these first few steps don’t become extra difficult considering how tiresome the rest of the harvest can be.
Now the skin is removed. And the head is chopped off. Chopped is not the right word. Sawed is. So the head is sawed off (with a hacksaw). After the head is removed the internal organs are delicately removed, worked around and preserved while specific cuts are removed. Colonic splatter is to be avoided in the same way the splatter of brains is to be avoided.
Have you ever seen your grandfather, or parent, or friend dead? You know how they’re all waxy and not lifelike because their lifeblood has been stolen from their being. Well lifeblood is just that, blood. So working with your crop is like hanging out with your dead grandpa except that the remaining life blood gets all over your clothes.
Beats watching television.
