Simon Says No! Some Of The Time
I have a few magical powers. For example, I have the ability to make kids do whatever I want some of the time. Don’t believe me? Here’s an example.
As part of my graduate coursework I help teach cycling and nutrition to kids. In fact, instead of finishing work on last semester’s program I am writing this post, but that’s besides the point. Anyways, when teaching hand signals I have the kids stand in a row or two behind me and I shout out orders for them to complete and they obey. But, if they mess up the orders they have to sit down (but sometimes I’m nice and don’t enforce the elimination guidelines).
I usually preface each command with “Simon says,” although that doesn’t really have anything to do with the fact I have the magic power to make kids do whatever I say some of the time.
