Christmas is for Factory Kids
November and December are the worst times to listen to the radio. For some unknown reason music programming directors feel the need to blast Christmas music for over a month. (Perhaps the power of Christ compels them.) Of course, they could do this somewhat tastefully by offering up an hour or two block per day, preferrably between 3-4am, that is devoted to Christmas music, but they don’t. Rather, they choose to assault everyone with 24 hour Christmas programming.
I understand that the radio stations that do this are often the stations that play a very limited selection of tunes as is (oldies, soft rock, etc), but the whole process is a bit absurd.
That being said, here’s a song called Father Christmas Still by the Factory Kids. It’s not much of a Christmas song though. I guess it’s more of a industrial revolution small child factory worker type Christmas song insofar that it’s not too cheery and there are a tasteful amount of bells.
