Best Record of the Year Drops November 18th
Twas the Night Before Morning by me:
Twas the night before this morning, when I arrived home from class
My roommate Mike was stirring, out of his room to say, “Hi!” before I could pass;
You see, I did not want to talk because I was sick at heart,
a talk with a friend, a decision to part;
I arrived in my room and sat in my chair
I could hear the rain falling down through the air;
I nustled the ThinkPad’s red track ball to shake it from sleep
It lurched back to life with more than a peep;
But there it was, at the top of my email,
a message from Marni with this juicy detail;
It read simply, “Hannukah Comes Early,”
Tears of joy came to my eyes, they glistened, and looked pearly;
It was an early Christmas miracle, in the oddest of places
a miracle that warrants celebration, in the form of three Busch Light cases!
My mom is going to be so stoked when she sees this post.
