Why the Video for Lowtide is Destroying the Youth

Yesterday Pitchfork.tv premiered the video for O’Death’s Lowtide, but don’t get too excited because the video is completely reckless and a clear threat to the nation’s youth. Here’s why:

About two thirds into the video the camera cuts to the band playing an impromptu version of Lowtide in a small underground cave. Given the size of the cave and the amount of hollering, stomping, and fiddling going on the limited supply of oxygen would quickly be consumed. The band would immediately pass out. No band in their right mind would play with such zeal is such a tiny underground dwelling.

This type of film making is irresponsible and sends the wrong message to our kids. I mean, how much disappointment can they deal with? First they’re faced with the fact they really can’t dig to China and then we expect them to cope with their inability to play raucous music subterraneanly – some life.

O’Death is playing TT the Bear’s Sunday, November 2nd.
