Sniffles, Zombies! & Designer Drugs
I woke up and my nose was stuffed with pleghm. A quick blow and I thought I would be rid of the problem.
I underestimated the phlegm’s resiliency. It can’t just be disposed of. The unknown virus which caused the mucus outbreak has already spread. Now it’s producing more mucus. There’s more snot than ever and it keeps coming.
It’s creeping down my throat. Every few minutes I squeeze my nostrils, open my mouth and let a go of a deep throated CZGGGGGGGAAAAWWWWNNNK to fight off the snot before it makes its way down my esophagus. Once I have a nicely formed bolus of mucus in my mouth I launch it with great speed into the sink and wash it down the drain with hot water.
It’s the only way to be sure the phlegm is dead.
