Songs of the Weeping Willow is the best free EP you can download this week, maybe. It’s easily the best free EP I’ve heard this week.
Forget that it was released months ago. That’s not important. Don’t be afraid to say to a friend, “Have you heard the free Linfinity EP?” He might say, “Yeah, that came out decades ago,” which will undoubtedly make you feel pretty lame.
Don’t fret.
Take solace in the fact that everyone has felt, at some point or another, equally lame. For instance, everybody has excitedly told their friend about this band they’ve been digging lately. The band is always Belle & Sebastian and the friend you told always scoffs just enough to put you off, but not enough to spoil your appetite for music. In fact, it may be a requirement to be slightly shunned for your fresh enthusiasm for Belle & Sebastian. Just remember, the same person who jeered at you went through the same procedure three weeks earlier and in three weeks from now you’ll get to do it to someone else.
It’s just the way these things work.
