Cadence Weapon Finds His Voice on the Economy
In today’s issue of Slate John Dickerson writes about how Barack Obama has finally found his voice on the economy. Dickerson says Obama is now one part professor, one part pastor, and one part optimism. He fluidly moves from professorial explanation to rousing hyperbole of the American ethos.
Meanwhile, Cadence Weapon has released a campaign ad (a campaign to sell records) titled “Real Estate” in an attempt to demonstrate the rapper’s grasp of the current economic climate. He’s one part wordsmith, one part rapper, and one part hokey actor. Cadence Weapon fluidly moves through an explanation the potential pitfalls of the music industry while tying it all together with the current mortgage crisis.
Certain strategists are predicting Obama to win in a landslide. Cadence Weapon’s latest, Afterparty Babies has won average reviews - in a landslide.
