Dead Confederate

About 620,000 people died during the Civil War. Wiki lists Confederate deaths at 260,000. Some other sites have the number closer to 500,000. Regardless, a lot of Confederates died. Stonewall Jackson was a famous one who died after he was shot accidentally by Confederate soldiers. The guy pictured above is another dead Confederate soldier, but he’s not as famous.

I guess a lot of the south still lives through those dead confederates. That makes me uncomfortable.

Dead Confederate are not dead Confederates, but rather, a band who say that they’re “kind of like a Jackson Pollack painting,” which is kind of silly after you listen to their music.

Dead Confederate - The Rat

Their full length debut, Wrecking Ball, is out September 16th on Tao Records. The band will be playing TT the Bear’s on October 7th. Full tour dates after the jump.
