What I’ve Been Listening To: V.1, P. 16

The mix for this week is a pretty stark departure from the usual look back at music pre 1990. Other than two and a half mountain goats songs (1.5 of which are covers) and Liz Phair’s Fuck and Run the mix is dominated by music from yet to be released albums. Okay, All The Mines was released on Curse of Company’s Leo Magnets Joins a Gang last Tuesday, but that’s close enough to being unreleased it still counts.

Other tracks include What Laura Says’ July 23 which should have been replaced by Fashionably Moral as the single for their forthcoming album, Thinks and Feels.

The opening track from Boston’s own Muy Cansado who have their first full length Stars and Garters set for release in mid August. More info on Stars and Garters and their CD release show later.

Two tracks from the duo Magic Wands who I’ll have more on later. Black Magic has me hooked.

And Danny Callahan is from Conor Oberst’s S/T album which can be listened to in full here.
