Ryan’s Smashing Life Presents The Luxury And More

RSL has another show lined up for this Friday at TT the Bear’s. The Luxury are headlining with Violet Nine, The Daily Pravda and The Animal Closet as supporting acts. Click on the poster to the left for details.

Ryan’s rather fond of the Luxury and the Violent Nine have a song featured on the Hills, but the Daily Pravda are definitely the most interesting four bands on the bill. And maybe their lyrics for Home Invasion fall short of Ice T’s Home Invasion, but I defy anyone to find a lyricist as talented as Det. Odafin Tutuola. I present a lyrical sample of each song for your consideration.

First, the Daily Pravda’s Home Invasion:

Now, Ice T’s Home Invasion:

If there is money there, rob the motherfuckin’ joint!
As far as moms bust her in her goddamn head!
