The Bookhouse Boys Are A Band, Or, How Communists Are Using Surf Music To Co-Opt Our Youths
One ninth of the Bookhouse Boys sent me an email to help spread the word about his band. As is customary he included previous media attention they’ve generated. All was well and good until he tried to hide this little gem:
the second single got pick of the week in the Guardian Guide, which might go for or against us depending on your media leanings, but I guess the truth is in the music…
…Let us know if you are into it or really couldn’t care less, either way.
Kind regards,
Will
Of course I immediately responded with a kindly, fuck you and your Guardian Guide pick.
With press backing such as the Guardian and BBC, a collective farm sized band, and lyrics that tout their disbelief in jesus I am almost certain that they’re communists. And given history’s tendency to repeat itself I make it a rule of thumb to disassociate myself from suspected communists. If you’re willing to listen to their endless red propaganda disguised as full bodied, driving, surf inspired tunes then you’re a better** man than me.
**More communist

I didn’t know communism had “media” leanings. But I guess they’ve always been big on spreading the message.
Oh of course it does. For example, NY Times, CNN, MSNBC, WaPo, and anything out of Oregon, Washington state, or northern California are communist. On the other hand, Fox News and the Herald are very much not communist.
You see?
Easy Mr.McCarthy.
And the Boston Herald and NY Post are Jock orientation.
