What I’ve Been Listening To: Vol. 1, P. 8
First, I’ve decied I’m going to try and make a muxtape each weak that coincides with my “What I’ve Been Listening To” post. The muxtape will consist of tracks I’ve posted on Enough Cowbell in addition to tracks that I’ve been listening to during my free time.
The muxtape does not reflect everything I’ve been listening to, but should be a bit more accessible and easier for me than uploading tons of tracks. For example, no Saul Williams because I have his albums in FLAC. Also, the muxtape is compiled without any attempt at consistency. So, you’ll hear metal next to bratty pop, next to electro, next to hardcore - it’s a quick reflection of my weekly listening habits.
I hope you enjoy the Japanese metal surprise on the 1st muxtape, but will change each week (hopefully).
The muxtape will remain a permanent link on the sidebar.

Alan Wilkis - Babies Dream Big (2008)
Read my thoughts on Babies Dream Big here. Buy.
The Sword - Gods of the Earth (2008)
Sword is playing the Middle East downstairs Sunday, May 18th. Buy.
Lykke Li - Little Bit EP (2008)
Lykke Li played the Middle East upstairs Friday, May 9th; her performance was stunning. Buy.
Peter Bjorn and John - Writer’s Block (2006)
An obvious extension of my listening infatuation with Lykke Li is a return to Writer’s Block. Lykke’s Little Bit EP and her forthcoming Youth Novels were produced by Bjorn and you can tell. So, every time I listened to Lykke I had a little more of an urge to listen to PB&J. It’s clearly a ploy by the Swedes - make good music that sounds just similar enough so it benefits all of us (Swedes, that is). Crafty bastards. Buy.
One more time, the What I’ve Been Listening To: Vol. 1, P. 8 muxtape:
