“Nine to Five, More Like Five to Nine”

My office has no windows and poor air circulation. The only two radio stations with reception are Oldies 103.3 and Jam’n 94.5. Combined, those two stations play a total of 15 songs on repeat - the best being the Troggs’ Wild Thing. One time Wild Thing came on the radio, my coworker (mid 60’s/female) let out a disgusted sound, and promptly turned the radio off berating the “gross sounding” tune.

In addition, my job is incredibly boring. I work in an office with all women with families, and none younger than 30. As much as I don’t care about fantasy sports - which I’d hear about from co-workers my own age - I care less about the Lifetime network and first communions.

Mr. Lif shares my repudiation with the standard eight hour work day. He presents his disdain in his delightfully corny 80s-esque video for Live From the Plantation.

PS. Today must be hip hop day at Pitchfork TV because in addition to Mr. Lif they have videos for Blockhead, Aesop, Cool Kids, Kidz in the Hall, and GZA.

“Nine to Five, More Like Five to Nine” quoted from the Spitvalves. And, yes, I just admitted to enjoying Ska; I hope that doesn’t make you think less of me.
