Blood on the Wall Remind Us That Music is the Most Important Part of a Music Video

What are the four(ish) things one needs to create a good rock music video? Not sure? Don’t worry, although I forfeit intellectual matters, such as figuring out how to split a check, to others, I’m keenly attuned to the needs of music videos.

  1. Good Music. Unfortunately, good music is often overlooked when figuring out a music video’s worth.
  2. Greasy hair. Please refer to the 1990s for further explanation.
  3. A cat.
  4. Someone reacting poorly to the music featured in the video. I’ll try and make up an example from my immense imagination…oh, say…a woman walks into a show, flashes a repugnant look, and then proceeds to insert her fingers in her ears in order to best drown out the vial sound being emitted from the band.

Blood on the Wall - Hibernation

Blood on the Wall manages to capture all these elements in their slipshod video for Hibernation. The video along side continuous play of their Liferz LP is a good warm-up for their May 18th show at the Middle East upstairs.
