Black Kids Get Remixed and Tour to Tell About It
If you like totally haven’t heard, the Black Kids are this year’s Vampire Weekend and according to just about everyone on the internet they’re the next big thing. All this buzz was generated from the four song Wizard of Ahhs EP and a solid live show. Now they’re recording their debut album and touring to hype its release.
The Twelves have remixed the verbosely titled, I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You.
Now, I’m not convinced (and I’m not the only one) by the Black Kids. Their debut EP is not exactly brilliant, but it’s far from bad either. Their body of work is just too small to judge at this point and I’m still skeptical that they necessarily deserve the buzz they’ve garnered. But, I’ll be happy if their forthcoming LP proves me wrong.
They’re currently touring with Cut Copy. The tour dates are as follows:
