It’s Monday and I’m Still Listening to the Little Bit EP
I’m officially in love with the Little Bit EP, but I find it difficult to recommend. Here’s why:
Of the four tracks on the EP only Everybody But Me is not on Lykke’s forthcoming Youth Novels LP. The EP is selling for $4 on Insound. Therefore, you’re paying $4 for one song plus some nice packaging.
That being said, if I were you here’s what I would do. I would go see her in concert, forego one beer – a PBR is $3 plus tip* – and then buy the EP. That way you can justify the purchase as money you would have spent anyway and you’ll have the EP to listen on repeat until Youth Novels is released State side. Another option is to import the Swedish release of the disc.
Either way, you need Lykke Li in your ears.
*PBR at the Paradise is now $4 for a tall can, which is preposterous. The bartender told me the new management was going to remove PBR entirely, but wisely decided against it. $4 for a PBR is too much and I am now considering a Paradise drink boycott until the $3 dollar price is reinstated. I boycotted Boca Grande after they recently increased prices while simultaneously decreasing quality. No word yet on if my actions have severely hurt or ruined Boca.
