Lykke Li Set to Release Little Bit EP
Lykke Li is Swedish and her Little Bit EP is coming to the States soon.
I have two songs from the EP for you all. The EP’s namesake, Little Bit, is pretty straight forward, but has some fantastic lyrics such as, “and for you I keep my legs apart/ and forget my tainted heart.” Leave it to those whose second (or third) language is English to provide us with some top notch lyrics. Overall, the dancers in the video seem to be a lot more excited about Little Bit than I am.

Dance Dance Dance, however, is instantly addicting. The combination of Lykke’s echoed vocals with saxophone lower in the mix, brushed percussion, and reggae influenced background vocals creates a wonderful sound that is just right for spring. Not to mention that Dance Dance Dance is song that is just begging to be remixed.

Lykke Li’s Little Bit EP will be released May 6th through her own LL Recordings with her Youth Novels LP to follow later on this year. She will be opening for El Perro Del Mar during the North American leg of her tour. Pre-Order.
