In Cased You Missed It…

I’ve been a bit under the weather for the past couple days so I’ve been more motivated to sleep than to put up content on the site. So, here’s a little round up of some good stuff from other blogs and online magazines that I think are worth checking out.

Discobelle has “Harder Better Faster Stronger” from Daft Punk’s upcoming Alive 2007 LP. They also have a fun Justice and Klaxon mash up.

Stereogum has a picture of Deer Hunter’s Bradford Cox eating food (and a review of CMJ’s Windish Agency Showcase with video correspondence from Andrew WK to follow soon); seriously, he’s actually eating food.

At Ease has some interesting In Rainbows numbers regarding average price paid for the album and amount of downloads and listens (via Last.fm tallies) over the past week.

You Ain’t No Picasso has It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s rock and roll masterpiece and follow up to, “Night Man,” “Day Man.” The clip and show are both hilarious.

And since we’re on the subject of Philadelphia, Sunday’s Justice show has been moved to the Trocadero in north Philly. The show is sold out and most likely going to be a wonderful punch in the face for everyone in attendance.

Slate has an interesting, albeit mildly depressing article about the future of iTunes. I call the report mildly depressing because there seems to be no end in site for Apple’s domination of the mp3 player and digital download market in the near future.

And finally, today in front of Marsh Chapel on the BU campus was an odd variety of dance party. Everyone brought their own music and headphones and danced to music only they could hear. I’m a big fan of the dance party so I enjoyed seeing everyone having a good time getting down, but the fact that all the dancers seem to perplex and upset and the brainwashed, mindless, aggravating, and/or waste of space LaRouche supporters made the whole event that much sweeter. LaRouche supporters are the worst and the fact that dancing makes them distressed is just validation that they’re an absolute waste.
