New Releases from Octopus Project and Kid Sister

Not too much on the record release front today, except for Kid Sister’s “Pro Nails” with “Switchboard” as the B-Side. Neither is particularly inspired, but I’m sure they’ll both remixed to death, especially “Switchboard.”

Octopus Project also released their newest LP: Hello, Avalanche today. I’ve written about Octopus Project in the past and have had high hopes for the album since hearing some of tracks played live. Now that I have the final version in my hands my initial reaction to Hello, Avalanche is quite positive, but ultimately you’re the judge. Here’s a small sample:

Octopus Project – The Bright Shinies

Octopus Project – An Evening with Arrtha

Octopus Project – Bee’s Been Strugglin

In addition, Octopus Project and Enon, who also put out a fun new record are playing Great Scott Saturday.

And finally, You Can Be A Wesley tonight at Bill’s Bar.  Doors are at 8:30pm ($10).
